War on mumbai

More than 48 hours on, the war on Mumbai is still in full flow. The situation has been developing minute by minute. Here's making sense of what's happened so far.
At 21:30 hrs IST on Wednesday night, terrorists entered the 22-storey Taj hotel and took hostages. Mumbai's Anti-Terrorist Squad reached the area and soon a gunbattle began, punctuated with explosions.
Within minutes of the first gun being fired, there was panic across Southern Bombay. Young, heavily armed terrorists were at various locations - from the CST Station to five star hotels to the very popular Leopold Cafe in Colaba. Eyewitness accounts being collated by intelligence agencies suggest that these terrorists made their way into the heart of city in boats.
At 02:00 hrs IST on Thirsday, a fire broke out in Taj hotel's central dome. In the continuing gunbattle, three terrorists were killed by 05:00 hrs IST on Thursday. Some guests were evacuated, but the war was far from over.
Apparently having landed by boat at the nearby Gateway of India, the terrorists split up. They first opened fire at the popular Cafe Leopold before moving to the Taj and Oberoi hotels. A group of terrorists entered the CST Station, fired and lobbed grenades into the crowded. Ten people died in the ensuing mayhem.
The terrorists then moved to the adjacent municipal headquarters and then to Cama hospital, where again they opened fire and lobbed grenades.
The terrorists managed to kill ATS Chief Hemant Karkare, who was supervising operations personally. Along with him were Additional Commissioner of Police, Ashok Kamte and senior police inspector Vijay Salaskar, a crack encounter specialist of the Mumbai Police, both of whom too died in the attack on Cama hospital.
The terrorists then hijacked a police vehicle and drove towards Metro junction, where again they fire into the crowds present there. This group of terrorists were later gunned down by a police team.
While police hunted for the terrorists, the Army, National Security Guard and Naval commandos tried to defuse the hostage situation in the Taj and Oberoi hotels - where some foreigners were being held - and Nariman House through the night.
The Armed Forces have had partial success at the Taj, but the stand off at the Oberoi hotel and Nariman House continues....

The finest archer
A Duke was hunting in the forest with his men-at-arms and servants when he came across a tree. Upon it, archery targets were painted and smack in the middle of each was an arrow."Who is this incredibly fine archer?" cried the duke. "I must find him!"After continuing through the forest for a few miles he came across a small boy carrying a bow and arrow. Eventually the boy admitted that it was he who shot the arrows plumb in the center of all the targets."You didn't just walk up to the targets and hammer the arrows into the middle, did you?" asked the duke worriedly."No my lord. I shot them from a hundred paces. I swear it by all that I hold holy.""That is truly astonishing, " said the duke. "I hereby admit you into my service."The boy thanked him profusely."But I must ask one favor in return," the duke continued. "You must tell me how you came to be such an outstanding shot.""Well," said the boy, "first I fire the arrow at the tree... ...and then I paint the target around it."

A football story......
It was on a lazy saturday,we (vahid, faisal, raji, fawas, akbar, kiran and vineesh) decieded to play football in ITI football stadium to recollect our old good child hood days and to keep our fittness as we were not doing any workout.
Its a long time since we played football, as everybody is very much engaged in their job.we were geting very less free time to spend together. We used to spend that time by simply playing carroms or watching TV soaps.Playing football was really a good option to utilise our free time on weekends, so everybody liked the idea.
So we guys decieded to bring boots for playing football from kerala as we were going to celebrate eid overthere. We found that it would be moer economical to bring boots from kerala.
So everybody purchased the boots and other accessories.
But unfortunately, we really forgot one thing.
Nobody had purchased a football!!!
So on a saturday evening, I and faisal started roaming to purchase a football,we checked it out in many outlets nearby our residence. We found many footballs, but didnt purchase because we were given strict instruction to purchase only branded football that shoul meet all FIFA standards by raji.
So we headed towards indiranagar,we searched around one hour for a football and asked many
shops.
Shopkeepers reacted like they were not heard about a football in their life.
Finally we were planning to return home,we simply decieded to check a shop on CMH road,
there alaas!!! we got a football that matches our requirement.
As soon as we cleared the payment in counter, faisal started to play football in shop premises itself.People around us were staring at him.
Somehow i managed to take him on my bike, but he was in full spirit of palying football,
even at traffic signal he tried to put the ball on road and started to play it.
As soon as we reached home, everybody started to practice in our room itself.
Fawas was showing some dribbling actions, eventhough he failed in that,i could help him out.
We discussed lots of matters like we should reach the ground as early as possible then we can play for a long time and we will be really having a ball of time as we were having lots of innovatice tricks to be shown.
Raji told he can play as long as possible as he was playing football in infosys campus along with his team mates. So i thought he would play he woulbe having great stamina.
Anyway we all practiced in room till 1am and went to sleep.
Faisal had taken football along with him to his bed and he slept with football.

On the next day ,that was a sunday ,we got up at 5.30am and dressed in football dress and headed towards ITI ground.
We were so early so we could see nothing as it was completly covered with thick fog,
Even some stry dogs were staring at us by thinking "who the hell is"
As compared to our expectations, it was a big ground and everybody started to do some warm up actions and started to play football.
All were very eager to show some dribbling tricks and kick actions as we were watching premier league and champions league everyweekends.
All tried to imitate worlclass footballers and we were enjoying the game very much.
After half an hour ,one by one started to feel feebled as we were playing after a long gap.
When we see raji withdrew from ground, we all struggled to control our laugh as he claimed he could play maximum.
So one by one started to pull off from ground and laid on the outfield.
Everybody lost there there stamina and vigour to play further.
Anyway within one hour game finished and we returned to home.
On the next sunday sombody asked "will go for a football match?"
But the question in still unanswered.
After that we never touched the football.
It is there in the corner of our room as a silent witness for our unexpected football thirst.
